Upcoming Events

We will be at a few events this year and also have several walks and get-togethers planned. Here are several upcoming events we have planned. We plan on adding more as the summer goes forth including a greyhound-friendly camping trip in the mountains and several more walks throughout the area. If you have any suggestions for a walk or would like to set one up in your area and would like it listed on the website, please let us know. Our walks are open to all greyhound adopters regardless of which greyhound adoption agency you have adopted from.

Canine Good Citizen Training Class:
We also have an exciting opportunity to work with a local trainer for a training class working towards the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. I believe the cost of the class will be $75-100 for a 7-8 week class which would meet on either a Saturday and/or Sunday (with the possibility of an "informal training" class one evening a week). We would be working on the criteria needed for passing the Canine Good Citizen test (visit http://www.akc.org/events/cgc/index.cfm to learn more about the CGC). These items include a sit, down and stay, as well as a recall and several other items. We would like to start the class sometime this summer with the CGC evaluation scheduled for the fall.
